China describes his military exercise before Taiwan as a success. The exercise is viewed internationally.
China has expanded its military maneuver from Taiwan. On the second day, precision strikes on port and energy systems as well as blockages were practiced in the East China Sea, the military said on Wednesday. The military explained that the desired results were achieved as part of the “Strait Thunder-2025a” exercise without becoming more specific. China had started the youngest maneuver on Tuesday. At the announcement, the People’s Republic of Taiwan’s President Lai Ching Te described as a parasite.
The Chinese military published a video to show the shooting exercises. There are said to be rocket exercises with sharp ammunition. The aircraft carrier operations group Shandong simulated attacks on ground and lake goals east of Taiwan, the military said. The exercises also included the coordination of ships and aircraft as well as obtaining air sovereignty in an area.
A high -ranking representative of the Taiwanese security authorities told the Reuters news agency that in the morning there were more than ten Chinese warships in Taiwan’s “reaction zone”. The Chinese coast guard was involved.
In the past 24 hours, 76 Chinese military planes and 15 warships have been counted, the Taiwanese Ministry of Defense said. The Chinese newspaper “Global Times”, which is published by the central organ of the China Communist Party, reported that state -of -the -art equipment had been used.
The United States, Taiwan’s most important supporter and arms supplier, condemned the Chinese maneuvers. “China’s aggressive military activities and rhetoric over Taiwan once again tightened the tensions and endanger security in the region,” said the US State Department. Japan and the European Union also commented. “The EU has a direct interest in maintaining the status quo in Taiwanstrasse. We reject all one-sided actions that change the status quo by force or compulsion,” said a EU spokesman.
In recent years, China has strengthened her military pressure on the democratically ruled and industrially developed Taiwan. Even after President Lai’s taking office, China held a large maneuver.
Lai rejects Beijing’s claims to Taiwan. The Taiwanese people could decide on their future. China sees Taiwan as anetomy province and strives for reunification. Taiwan is only recognized as independent by a few small countries.
