The timetable for determining the new minimum wage figure, which directly concerns 7 million employees and indirectly concerns the whole society, has become clear.

The Minimum Wage Determination Commission will hold its first meeting on Tuesday, December 10.

At the meeting hosted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the employers will be represented by the Confederation of Turkish Employers’ Associations (TİSK) and the workers’ side will be represented by TÜRK-İŞ as it is the confederation with the most members.

According to the news in the Türkiye newspaper, it was claimed that the bosses would come to the bargaining table with the average of the actual inflation and the targeted inflation.

Bosses will offer a raise of 32.5 percent, which is the average of 44 percent and 21 percent.

The minimum wage is currently applied as 20 thousand 2 lira and 50 kuruş gross per month for a worker, and as a net 17 thousand 2 lira 12 kuruş when deductions are reduced.
