BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul completed the new trading day with an increase.
BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul closed the day with a 0.17 percent increase at 9,921.40 points.
While BIST 100 index increased by 16.61 points compared to the previous close, the total transaction volume reached 84.8 billion liras.
The banking index gained 1.42 percent and the holding index gained 0.42 percent.
Among the sector indices, the one that gained the most was mining with 3.80 percent, while the one that lost the most was communications with 3.40 percent.
Analysts said that a positive trend is emerging in global stock markets, with expectations increasing that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will begin a rate cut cycle next month.
Analysts stated that tomorrow, the financial services confidence index in Turkey, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Japan, new housing sales in the US and messages from the Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium will be monitored, and noted that from a technical perspective, the 10,100 and 10,200 levels in the BIST 100 index are resistance, while 9,850 and 9,750 points are support.
