Gates emphasized that the number of children dying annually in poor countries will increase from five to six million without a turnaround in the US aid. Actually, there should have been a decline to four million deaths in the coming years. “Because of these cuts, millions will die more,” said Gates literally.

He has no doubt that Musk is directly involved in the cuts: “He is the one who has shortened the Budget of the USA.” Musk himself reacted to the allegations on his online platform X and wrote: “Gates is a huge liar.”

Elon Musk, who heads Tesla and SpaceX, among other things, is said to have not only affected USAID, according to Gates. After his financial commitment to Donald Trump’s presidential election campaign last year, in which he invested over $ 250 million, Trump transferred the cuts of government spending. In this context, Musk also thrown USAD “in the wood chopper”, as he put it himself.

Musk, whose assets are estimated at more than $ 300 billion, originally joined the “The Giving Pledge” initiative, which was launched by Gates and Warren Buffett. This obliges rich people to donate large parts of their assets for charitable purposes – also posthumously. Gates indicated that Musk might be a big philanthropic: “Who knows? He could still become a big philanthropes,” said Gates.

Gates himself brought large parts of his assets into his own foundation and plans to fully output them over the next 20 years. The total edition of his foundation could reach over $ 200 billion during this period.
