The parent company Meta made important announcements for Facebook, which still has a very significant user base today. Meta is preparing to test new features that will make Facebook video-focused. According to the statement, the company will switch to a full-screen video experience similar to TikTok. It announced that it will start testing innovations such as a TikTok-like full-screen video experience, a new application specifically for Marketplace sellers, and a free verification badge.
Meta has not yet shared an example of what the new interface will look like. The first tests will begin in countries where video content is consumed more intensively. The company aims to make the system available in the USA next year if everything goes as planned.
Meta is also making a significant change to the verification system on Facebook. In addition to the verification badge, which was previously only available with a Meta Verified subscription starting at $11.99 per month, a free verification option will now be available. Users will be able to receive a free verification badge by completing a simple selfie verification process.
In addition, the Seller application specifically for Marketplace sellers is also available. Thanks to the application, which has a Craigslist-like structure, sellers will be able to manage their listings, track performance data and communicate with buyers through a single application.
