Attacker stabs men in front of synagogue

An attacker stabbed and seriously injured two Jewish men in the British capital. The perpetrator was caught.

According to media reports, two people were injured in a knife attack in London. This was reported by the British broadcaster BBC.

Several British media had previously reported on the incident, citing a Jewish neighborhood initiative. The suspected attacker was therefore caught. According to BBC information, two Jewish men were stabbed and require treatment for serious injuries. Prime Minister Keir Starmer confirmed during Question Time in Parliament that police were investigating the “deeply disturbing incident”.

The incident is said to have taken place in the heavily Jewish neighborhood of Golders Green in the northwest of the British capital. There was initially no reliable information available about the possible motive for the crime.

Recently there were several attacks on Jewish institutions in London. Just a few weeks ago, around four ambulances belonging to a Jewish community in Golders Green were destroyed in an anti-Semitic arson attack. Several suspects have been charged.
