A critical turning point has been reached in the July increase in pensions. While millions of SSK, Bağ-Kur and civil servant retirees focus on the June inflation to be announced on July 3, the raise scenarios on the table have begun to become clear. While an increase of at least 16.60 percent was confirmed with the 5-month inflation data, the predictions from the Central Bank and Financial Institutions Association surveys changed the new salary calculations. As the preparations for the base salary regulation in the Turkish Grand National Assembly begin, the retirees’ root salary, additional payments and the net amount to be deposited in the bank will be recalculated. So what will be the minimum pension? How much will retirees who receive salaries of 20 thousand, 25 thousand, 30 thousand and 40 thousand TL receive in July?
Countdown has begun for retirement pay raise
For the salary increase to be made in July, millions of retirees’ eyes are turned to the June inflation to be announced on July 3. SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees will receive a raise equal to the 6-month inflation rate. For retired civil servants and civil servants, the collective bargaining increase will be added to the inflation difference.
5-month raise has already been finalized
According to the data announced by TUIK, inflation was 16.60 percent in the first 5 months of the year. Thus, a raise of at least 16.60 percent for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees has already been finalized.
According to the calculation made based on this rate, the minimum pension of 20 thousand TL increases to 23 thousand 320 TL.
The first table was created for retired civil servants
With the 5-month inflation data, the first increase calculation for civil servants and retired civil servants was revealed. Accordingly, retired civil servants have already been guaranteed a total raise of 12.41 percent, together with the 5.05 percent inflation difference and the collective agreement increase.
However, the exact rate will be determined when the June inflation is announced.
