The “Regulation on Amendments to the Electric Scooter Regulation” prepared by the Ministries of Transport and Infrastructure, Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and Internal Affairs came into force after being published in the Official Gazette.

Accordingly, an administrative fine of 8 thousand 687 liras will be imposed on those who violate the general issues regarding shared electric scooter operation and authorization certificate obligations, and an administrative fine of 86 thousand 900 liras will be imposed on those who operate electric scooters without authorization, without permission and outside the limits of the authorization certificate.

PENALTIES WILL INCREASE DOUBLY

The first time authorization certificate holders exceed the total number of electric scooter permits they have received for the province in which they operate, they will be fined 8 thousand 687 liras, the second time they will be fined 86 thousand 900 liras, the third time they will be fined 170 thousand liras and their activities will be stopped for 6 months.

Those who violate the condition of establishing a call center will be given an administrative fine of 43 thousand 447 liras.

Operators who do not submit the required information or documents to the inspection authorities for inspection will also be fined 50 thousand liras.

If more than one fault is committed together, a separate administrative fine decision report will be prepared for each misdemeanor.
