Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA (Assault Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), developed nationally and uniquely by Baykar, continues to improve its operational capabilities and increase its integration of different ammunition day by day. AKINCI, which previously carried out successful air-to-air launches with the KEMANKEŞ 1 Artificial Intelligence Based Mini Cruise Missile, achieved a similar success this time with the EREN High Speed Multi-Purpose Loitering Ammunition developed by Roketsan.

It took off from Çorlu and hit the target from Sinop.

Within the scope of the test activity, Bayraktar AKINCI took off from AKINCI Flight Training and Test Center in Çorlu district of Tekirdağ and arrived at the test site on the Black Sea. In the test carried out off the coast of Sinop, the target UAV, which took off from the ground, was successfully neutralized in the sky by EREN ammunition fired from Bayraktar AKINCI. After the successful shooting, which resulted in the destruction of the target, the national TİHA returned to Çorlu, following the planned route.

Versatile operational power

Bayraktar AKINCI, who carried his success in air-ground munitions to air-air missions, reinforced his operational flexibility with this successful shot with EREN munitions. National TİHA, which can successfully use different types of ammunition against ground and air targets, once again demonstrated the strategic power it has achieved. To date, within the scope of the development activities of the national TİHA, MAM-L, MAM-L TV, MAM-T, MAM-T IIR/TV, MAM-C, TOLUN, TOLUN IIR, Teber-81, Teber-82, LAÇİN 82 LGK-81, LGK-82, HGK-82, Gökçe Guidance Kit, Gözde Guidance Kit, KGK-82-SİHA, İHA-230 Supersonic Missile, İHA-122 Supersonic Missile with TV Seeker and Laser Seeker Heads and Çakır Cruise Missile were successfully tested.

Altitude record holder

Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA, which has been operating successfully since August 29, 2021, when it entered the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) inventory, also holds the altitude record in our national aviation history. National TİHA Bayraktar AKINCI broke the record by rising to an altitude of 45 thousand 118 feet (13 thousand 716 meters) within the scope of the endurance, high altitude and high speed tests carried out in the presence of the Presidency of Defense Industries and the Air Forces Command delegations on June 21, 2022.

Baykar, which has carried out all its projects from the beginning to the present with its own resources, continued to be the world’s largest exporter in the unmanned aerial vehicle segment in 2025. Baykar, which has maintained its leadership in the world UAV market in the past 3 years, renewed its record with an export volume of 2.2 billion dollars in 2025. Obtaining 90 percent of its revenues from exports in recent years, Baykar has become the locomotive of Türkiye’s high technology exports. Baykar, which received the Champions of Export Award by being among the top 10 exporting companies in all sectors in Türkiye in 2023 and 2024, became the export leader of the defense and aerospace sector according to the data of the Presidency of Defense Industries and the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. Baykar, which alone carried out one-third of the sector’s exports in 2023, carried out one-fourth of the total exports of the defense and aerospace sector in 2024, making Türkiye a leader in the global UAV export market.
Baykar, the world’s largest unmanned aerial vehicle company, has signed export agreements with 36 countries for the Bayraktar TB2 SİHA and with 16 countries so far for the Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA, a total of 37 countries.
