Trump calls for Zelensky to be replaced. The Ukrainian foreign minister rejects the request. Meanwhile, Russia continues to bombard Ukraine unabated.

The Ukrainian government rejects the demands of US President Donald Trump back after a new president. Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha wrote on Platform X in the evening that Zelensky enjoyed the support of the Ukrainian people and that they had the right to decide for themselves. “Comments from abroad only confirm that he is doing his job well. He deserves support.”

Russia Meanwhile, the Ukrainian capital Kyiv continued to be shelled in the evening. mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote on the Telegram platform that there were already eight injured, including a 15-year-old.

Trump had a new president for the on Saturday Ukraine demanded and claims that Zelensky had many opportunities to end the war in Ukraine and decided against it. “I think it’s time for Ukraine to have a new president.” Ukrainians should look for a new leader who can reach an agreement to end the war. Because despite many opportunities, Zelensky “never did that for some reason.”

The war was not started by Ukraine, but by Russia, which invaded the neighboring country more than four and a half years ago. Kremlin boss Vladimir Putin has repeatedly rejected offers for an unconditional ceasefire. Later diplomatic initiatives also came to nothing.

Is Trump ending intelligence cooperation?

Meanwhile, “Bild” reporter Paul Ronzheimer reported KyivZelensky’s advisers were shocked by the news Washingtonaccording to which Trump is now calling for a new president for Ukraine after the diesel deal with Putin. A close Zelensky adviser told him that it was clear to them that Ukraine would come back into focus during the campaign for the US midterm elections in November, Ronzheimer reported on Platform X. But they had not expected that. The biggest concern is that Trump will actually end intelligence cooperation.

The Chairwoman of the European Parliament’s Defense Committee, Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann (FDP), wrote on “The leadership of Ukraine will be decided by the Ukrainians alone in free elections, not the White House and certainly not the Kremlin.”

Change at the head of state not possible due to war

Zelensky had repeatedly agreed to hold direct talks with Putin, but declined invitations Moscow categorically rejected. A change at the head of state in Ukraine is currently not possible because the constitution precludes elections during wartime.
