BIST 100 index, which moved in a downward trend in the first half of the day, fell to 13,283.55 points as of 13:00, a decrease of 226.22 points and 1.67 percent compared to the previous close.
The total transaction volume was 71.2 billion lira. The banking index lost 0.73 percent and the holding index lost 3.58 percent.
While all sector indices lost value, the biggest loser was financial leasing factoring with 9.40 percent.
BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul completed the first half of the day with a negative trend due to the effect of widespread sales.
The Capital Markets Board (CMB) determined the procedures and principles regarding the liquidation process of liquidated investment funds. Accordingly, Türkiye İş Bankası and Ziraat Bankası were authorized to carry out the liquidation processes regarding 131 investment funds liquidated by 7 portfolio management companies.
Analysts stated that industrial production in the USA will be followed for the rest of the day, and noted that technically, 13,200 and 13,100 points in the BIST 100 index are support, and 13,400 and 13,500 points are resistance.
