Economic confidence increased in August

The Economic Confidence Index, which consists of the average of 5 confidence indexes of TURKSTAT, increased in August.

The index, which was 99.8 in July, increased by 0.8 percent to 100.6 in August.

Compared to the previous month, in August, the consumer confidence index increased by 1.0 percent to 90.8, the real sector (manufacturing industry) confidence index increased by 1.2 percent to 102.4, the service sector confidence index decreased by 0.1 percent to 111.9, the retail trade sector confidence index decreased by 0.8 percent to 110.1, the construction sector confidence index decreased by 0.4 percent to 83.1.
