Energy import bill increased by 13 percent in July

According to the provisional foreign trade statistics created by the Turkish Statistical Institute and the Ministry of Commerce, Türkiye’s total imports in July were determined as 32 billion 965 million 736 thousand dollars, increasing by 5.1 percent compared to the same month of 2025.

5 billion 825 million 757 thousand dollars of this amount consisted of “mineral fuels, mineral oils and products obtained from their distillation, bituminous substances, mineral waxes”, which are summarized as energy imports.

In July last year, this figure was recorded as 5 billion 148 million 959 thousand dollars. Thus, the amount of energy imports increased by 13.1 percent on an annual basis.

During this period, crude oil imports increased by 0.3 percent to 2 million 931 thousand 690 tons.
