The countries that sent the most tourists to the city, which attracts visitors from all over the world, were Russia, Germany and England. Antalya, which hosted more than 10 million foreign tourists between January 1 and August 21, is also preparing for the 77th International Astronautical Congress and the 31st Conference of the Parties (COP31) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change to be held in the city.
Occupancy rates in hotels in the city are expected to be at high levels during the two organization periods.
Kaan Kaşif Kavaloğlu, President of the Mediterranean Touristic Hoteliers and Operators Association, said that they were 6 percent behind last year in the number of tourists and that they were trying to get through the season in the best way possible.
Kavaloğlu said:
“We care about the number of tourists coming to Antalya. We will organize the 77th International Space Congress at the NEST Congress Center in Antalya Belek in October. We attach great importance to the fact that all stakeholders related to that sector will meet in Antalya and Türkiye. COP31, which will be held on November 9-20, will be one of the biggest events in Türkiye that we have organized so far. Under the coordination of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and municipalities, local governments, private “We are working together with the sector and non-governmental organizations to make COP31 successful.”
Kavaloğlu stated that intense work has been done in the EXPO area for COP31 and that it is a very serious investment for Antalya and will make a significant contribution to the city in every field.
Explaining that COP31 is a permanent investment for Antalya, Kavaloğlu said, “After COP31 is held and completed, we will have a great marketing power to organize such events in Antalya.” he said.

Ic Hotels Green Palace and Villas Business Manager İsmail Çağlar also stated that they had a very good winter season this year, but there were wars and geopolitical developments in the surrounding countries in the May-June period.
Explaining that occupancy rates increased during the summer period, Çağlar said, “Our occupancy rates increased as of July and August. Unlike this year, there is serious activity in the domestic market. Especially hotels in important regions of Antalya are fully booked. Occupancy rates continue like this until the first week of September. We are morale for now.” he said.
Pointing out that it is important for the sector that the 77th International Astronautical Congress and COP31 will be held at the end of the tourism season, Çağlar said, “Very serious reservations have been received. There was especially high demand for the Belek and Kundu regions. We are looking forward to these two big organizations.” he said.
