Borsa Istanbul rose in the first half of the day

BIST 100 index, which moved in an upward trend in the first half of the day, rose to 13,876.75 points as of 13.00, with an increase of 97.35 points and 0.71 percent compared to the previous closing.

Total transaction volume was 84.1 billion lira. While the holding index gained 0.41 percent in value, the banking index lost 0.17 percent.

Among the sector indices, the highest increase was textile leather with 2.14 percent, and the highest decrease was transportation with 0.96 percent.

Despite the positive effects of the weakening of interest rate increase forecasts for the US Federal Reserve (Fed) in global markets, uncertainties in the Middle East limit risk appetite. Contrary to the global outlook, a positive trend stands out in domestic markets.

Turkish Statistical Institute announced the industrial production index data for June. Accordingly, calendar-adjusted industrial production in the month in question decreased by 1.4 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

Analysts stated that the data agenda was calm for the rest of the day, and noted that technically, 13,700 and 13,600 points in the BIST 100 index were support, and 13,900 and 14,000 points were resistance.
