BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul decreased by 0.09 percent in the first half of the day to 13,786.12 points.
BIST 100 index, which moved in a downward trend in the first half of the day, dropped to 13,786.12 points as of 13:00, with a decrease of 12.69 points and 0.09 percent compared to the previous closing.
The total transaction volume was 91.2 billion lira. While the banking index gained 0.50 percent in value, the holding index lost 0.52 percent.
Among the sector indices, the highest increase was forest paper printing with 2.94 percent, and the highest decrease was the metal main industry with 2.98 percent.
While global markets continue to seek direction due to the uncertainties regarding the future steps of the US Federal Reserve (Fed) and the delay in the agreement expected to be reached this week in the Middle East, the non-agricultural employment data to be announced in the US today has become the focus of investors.
A cautious course came to the fore in the domestic markets in the first half of the day due to the influence of global developments.
Analysts stated that an intense data agenda will be followed for the rest of the day, including the domestic treasury cash balance, the employment report in the USA and the foreign trade balance in Germany, and noted that technically, 13,700 and 13,600 points in the BIST 100 index are in a support position, while 13,900 and 14,000 points are in a resistance position.
