Stating that Walmart, one of the largest retailers in the USA, was informed that it would “make a huge discount” in prices upon the request of the administration, in order to celebrate the country’s 250th “birthday”, Trump said, “Walmart will reduce the price of ground meat, among many other products, by almost 15 percent. This is a huge event for millions of Americans who love the USA and shop smartly from Walmart, which is a truly patriotic company.” he said.
Claiming that they brought down the prices that the previous administration had “raised with the worst inflation crisis in history”, Trump said that as promised, oil prices fell rapidly, and the prices of eggs, prescription drugs and gasoline at the pump also decreased.
Pointing out that Walmart stepped forward by taking a big and bold step, Trump said, “Other retailers should follow in the footsteps of these true patriots.” he stated.
