BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul, which followed a buying-oriented trend yesterday, completed the day at 14,424.54 points with a 0.05 percent gain in value.
The index dropped to 14,407.91 points at the opening today, with a decrease of 16.63 points and 0.12 percent compared to the previous closing. While the banking index lost 0.27 percent of its value, the holding index increased by 0.1 percent.
Among the sector indices, sports was the one that gained the most with 0.59 percent, and IT was the one that decreased the most with 0.38 percent.
Global markets are mixed due to concerns that the climate of reconciliation in the Middle East may be disrupted as a result of targeting commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
Analysts stated that the news flow from the NATO Summit, which starts today, could be decisive on the direction of the markets.
Stating that the treasury cash balance will be followed domestically and the foreign trade balance in the USA abroad, analysts noted that technically, 14,300 and 14,200 points in the BIST 100 index are resistance, while 14,500 and 14,600 points are support.
