Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş stated that June maternity aid payments have been deposited into mothers’ accounts as of today.
In his written statement, Minister Göktaş reminded that the amount of maternity allowance has been updated within the scope of the 2025 Family Year, and that as of January 1, 2025, a one-time support of 5 thousand lira is given to the first child born, 1500 lira monthly support is given to the second child, and 5 thousand lira monthly support is given to the third and subsequent children.
Stating that 1 million 120 thousand 990 children have benefited from birth aid so far, Göktaş stated that 466 thousand 825 of the children benefiting from the aid are the first child of their families, 344 thousand 139 are the second child, and 310 thousand 26 are the third child or above.
Göktaş also emphasized that 25 thousand 401 of the beneficiaries had twins or more, and regular payments were made for 654 thousand 165 children with two, three or more children.
Pointing out that one of the important supports given to citizens in the 10 Years of Family and Population is birth aid, Göktaş said:
“In this context, we have deposited the June maternity aid payments to the mothers’ accounts as of today. Thus, we have made a payment of 20.1 billion liras to the accounts of a total of 1 million 99 thousand 185 mothers who have benefited from birth aid to date. As the Ministry, we will continue our work to strengthen healthy, conscious families with sustainable support mechanisms that encourage family formation. I hope the payments will be beneficial to all our families.”
Göktaş stated that applications for birth aid are received through e-Government and the “My First Teacher is My Family” mobile application, and that the information on the payment of birth aid to families whose applications are approved can be accessed through the mobile application.
Göktaş informed that birth aid payments are deposited into accounts through Halkbank and noted that the payments will continue uninterruptedly until the children turn 5 years old.
