The Capital Markets Board (CMB) stated that it is not possible for the board and its staff to make money, donations or any financial requests via phone, text message, e-mail, social media channels or communication tools.
CMB made a statement regarding fraud attempts.
In the statement, “Recently, we have been receiving notifications from individuals and organizations that introduce themselves as CMB managers, employees or their relatives, and use the names and titles of our board chairman, managers and employees, regarding money, donations or various requests for various reasons.” It was said.
In the statement, it was stated that the Board and its staff are not allowed to make money, donations or any other financial request via telephone, text message, e-mail, social media channels or communication tools. “These and similar attempts, which can be considered as fraud in accordance with the Turkish Penal Code No. 5237, should definitely not be relied upon. Persons victimized by such methods can file a criminal complaint with the competent judicial authorities and exercise their legal rights to compensate for the damages they have suffered.” statements were included.
