BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 2.38 percent in the first half of the day and rose to 14,069.92 points.
BIST 100 index, which moved in an upward trend in the first half of the day, rose to 14,069.92 points as of 13:00, an increase of 326.42 points and 2.38 percent compared to the previous close.
Total transaction volume was 119.9 billion lira. The banking index gained 6.77 percent and the holding index gained 2.24 percent.
Among the sector indices, the one that rose the most was banking, and the one that lost the most was textile and leather with 0.44 percent.
While the global markets were positive after US President Donald Trump said that the agreement with Iran would be completed within a few days, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul completed the first half of the day with an increase, parallel to the global markets.
Analysts stated that the consumer confidence index data of the University of Michigan in the USA will be followed for the rest of the day, and noted that technically, 14,200 and 14,300 points in the BIST 100 index are resistance, and 13,900 and 13,800 points are support.
