Inflation was announced as 4.84 percent in January, 2.96 percent in February, 1.94 percent in March and 4.18 percent in April. According to the data of the Turkish Statistical Institute, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 1.71 on a monthly basis and increased to 32.61 on an annual basis.
The change in CPI in May 2026 was 1.71% increase compared to the previous month, 16.61% increase compared to December of the previous year, 32.61% increase compared to the same month of the previous year and 32.24% increase compared to twelve-month averages.

While the SSK (4A) and Bağ-Kur (4B) raise rate was 12.19 percent in January, the Civil Servant and Pension Fund (4C) raise rate was calculated as 18.60 percent. The lowest pension was 20,000 lira.
