Planet Zoo 2 announced! Flying and aquatic animals are coming

Frontier Developments officially announced the popular zoo simulation Planet Zoo 2. The game will be released for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on October 13, 2026; It is here with aquatic creatures, flying birds, new reserve system, pre-order bonuses and prices. The institution made an announcement that will excite those who love zoo building and management games. Planet Zoo 2, the sequel to the popular simulation game, is preparing to offer a much larger, more detailed and more vivid experience while maintaining the foundations of the first game.

New aquatic species will include blacktip reef sharks, hawksbill turtles and schools of colorful fish, while bird species will include the toko toucan and the secretary bird.

As always, you’ll need to balance the various needs that come with running a successful zoo: ensuring your visitors, staff and animals are all happy, while also making sure you make enough money to keep the business afloat!

While Career, Sandbox and Franchise modes will return in Planet Zoo 2, the new Planet Hub system will also be added. This system will allow you to manage your international network of zoos and reserves from a single global menu. Performance data, research and conservation projects can also be followed here.

PRICE AND RELEASE DATE!

Planet Zoo 2 will be released for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on October 13, 2026. The game is already available for pre-order. The Standard Edition includes the pre-order bonus pack along with the base game, while the Deluxe Edition additionally comes with 6 animal species and special animal signs.

The pre-order bonus package will include a special Toucan Eat Shop and sign, 3 different animal donation boxes, and a Tiger Photo Stand-In Wall. The Deluxe Edition will include 6 additional species such as Golden Eagle, Golden Lion Tamarin, Great Hammerhead Shark, Axolotl, Blue and Gold Fusilier and Longfin Batfish.

Speaking of money, Planet Zoo will be available for $49.99 and pre-orders are now open. There are also a number of pre-order bonuses (you’ll get the Toucan Eat Shop and Signage, three Unique Animal Donation Bins, and the Tiger Photo Stand-In Wall when the game launches), and there’s also a Deluxe Edition option available.

The more expensive version of Planet Zoo 2 will be available for $64.99 and will include six additional animal species, the details of which have not yet been announced.
