“Fake success”: Iran clearly contradicts Trump’s portrayal
Iran has accused US President Donald Trump of distorting or ignoring key agreements in the planned framework agreement. The Fars news agency, which is close to the Revolutionary Guards, wrote, citing informed circles, that Trump was trying to stage a fake success. In addition, the draft contract is still in a final approval phase.
Specifically, Iran contradicts Trump’s statements on three points: First, Trump ignored the fact that twelve billion dollars had to be released from frozen Iranian foreign accounts immediately after the signing. Without this release, Iran will not enter into any further phases of negotiations.
Secondly, the agreement does not contain any provision for the free opening of the Strait of Hormuz, it said. Third, Iran rejects the statement that the enriched uranium should be mined or destroyed – the letter of intent does not contain such a provision. Iran also points out the demand for a complete ceasefire in Lebanon – in the spirit of the Lebanese Hezbollah militia.
Trump announces decision on Iran – Tehran cautious
US President Donald Trump has announced an early decision in negotiations with Iran. Trump wrote on his online service Truth Social on Friday that he would meet with his security advisers at the White House “to make a final decision.”
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi expressed caution in a telephone conversation with his counterpart in Oman. An agreement depends on whether the US side gives up its stance, “which is based on excessive demands and changing and contradictory positions,” said the Foreign Ministry in Tehran.
According to US circles, the negotiators on both sides had previously agreed on a framework for further negotiations. It provides for an extension of the ceasefire by 60 days. For the first time since the war began at the end of February, both sides want to negotiate more in-depth on the Iranian nuclear program. Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with Pakistan’s chief diplomat Ishaq Dar in Washington. Pakistan is mediating in the conflict between Washington and Tehran.

Five million dollars were allocated for the restoration and gilding of four bronze statues near the Lincoln Memorial alone. The work is expected to be completed in time for the 250th anniversary of American independence on July 4, 2026.
