Samsung introduces its new Android 16-based interface, One UI 8.5, to its users in the global market. After a limited distribution period that started in its home country, South Korea, on May 6, a large-scale update wave covering Europe, North America and many regions of Asia is officially on its way as of May 12.
PHONES THAT WILL RECEIVE ONE UI 8.5 UPDATE
For those who missed it, Samsung first announced the One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy S24 family, Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S10 models. With the new statement, approximately 20 more different devices were added to the list. These devices include many models, including Galaxy Z TriFold, Galaxy Z Fold & Flip 5 series, Galaxy Tab S9 series, Galaxy A56, Galaxy A55, A54, A25.
According to the list shared by Samsung Germany, the new devices that will receive the One UI 8.5 update are as follows:

Additionally, Samsung started distributing the One UI 8.5 update in South Korea as of May 6. It is stated that global distribution will begin on May 11 in many regions including Europe, North America, India, Latin America and Southeast Asia. The company has not yet shared a clear distribution schedule for the newly added devices. However, the update is expected to reach mid-segment Galaxy devices after the flagship models are completed.
UPDATE HAS STARTED FOR VARIOUS MODELS IN Türkiye
Among the first models to see the update in Türkiye are Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25 Edge, Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7. It has also been reported that the stable One UI 8.5 distribution for the S25 Edge has started.
Although One UI 8.5 is a major update, the Android version is still 16. The update size is approximately 4.4 GB. Samsung says One UI 8.5 focuses on improving the communication and productivity experience on Galaxy devices. The update offers more advanced Galaxy AI features, renewed interface touches and a smoother user experience.
