According to the company’s statement, production in Türkiye is expected to end in the first half of 2028. It was stated that 2,200 employees will be affected by the decision.

“Management has assessed that manufacturing capacity in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region is above future demand,” the statement said.

Autoliv, which produces steering wheels, airbags and seat belts in Türkiye, will shift production to other facilities in the region.

Autoliv announced that it expects to write approximately $142 million in pre-tax expenses within the scope of the process, and most of the amount will be reflected in the second quarter of 2026.
