Sample flats for the residences to be built in the city were displayed within the scope of the project carried out to provide citizens with access to earthquake-resistant, safe and modern residences.
Sample flats built by TOKİ in Kayaşehir, 1 as 2+1 and 2 as 1+1, were shown to members of the press.
To date, with projects such as “50 thousand”, “100 thousand” and “My First Home – 250 Thousand Social Housing”, more than 1 million 750 thousand social houses have been built throughout Turkey, while nearly 7 million low-income people have found a safe, solid and modern home.
With the Housing Project of the Century with the slogan “Türkiye is the Host” announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, action was taken for the largest social housing project in Türkiye’s history.
Within the scope of the project, where 500 thousand social houses will be built in 81 provinces, at least 2 million people will live in more durable, disaster-resistant, safe and modern houses.
Within the scope of the project, applications for 500 thousand social housing units, planned by taking into account the cities’ housing needs, population density and economic structure, were received between 10 November and 19 December 2025. 8 million 840 thousand people applied to the project.
1 MILLION 235 THOUSAND 169 APPLICATIONS ARE IN ISTANBUL
The applications of 5 million 242 thousand people who met all the criteria were accepted as valid. The highest number of applications were made in Istanbul with 1 million 235 thousand 169.
Within the scope of the project, application and payment conditions in Istanbul were kept different from those in Anatolian provinces. Household monthly net income was determined as maximum 145 thousand lira for Istanbul and 127 thousand lira for other provinces.
2+1 and 1+1 residences are planned to be built in Istanbul. It is aimed to offer these houses to low-income citizens with 10 percent down payment, 240 months maturity and installments starting from 7 thousand 313 liras.
The draw to determine the beneficiaries is planned to start tomorrow and last for 3 days.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum are expected to attend the draw ceremony to be held at 14.00 tomorrow at the Atatürk Airport National Garden.
