The number of first-hand house sales across Türkiye increased by 1.3 percent in March compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 35 thousand 725. Second-hand house sales decreased by 3.6 percent in March compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 77 thousand 642. The share of first-hand house sales in total house sales was 31.5 percent, and the share of second-hand house sales was 68.5 percent.
MORTGAGED SALES
Mortgaged house sales across Türkiye increased by 35.9 percent in March compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 25 thousand 978. Other housing sales decreased by 9.6 percent in March compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 87 thousand 389. The share of mortgage sales in total housing sales was 22.9 percent and the share of other sales was 77.1 percent.
HOUSING SALES TO FOREIGNERS
Housing sales to foreigners decreased by 20.0 percent in March compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 1,353. In March, the share of housing sales to foreigners in total housing sales was 1.2 percent. In the January-March period, housing sales to foreigners decreased by 14.9 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 4 thousand 165.
