While expectations that negotiations between the USA and Iran may restart increased risk appetite in the markets, bitcoin reached its highest level since mid-March.

Cryptocurrency markets started the week with a strong rise, with positive signals from global politics and diplomacy traffic.

News that the tension between the USA and Iran could be resolved through diplomatic means triggered risk appetite in capital markets and stimulated the largest cryptocurrency, bitcoin.

According to data from analysis company Coinmarketcap, the price of bitcoin, which gained more than 5 percent in the last 24 hours, reached the limit of 74 thousand 600 dollars. With this momentum, bitcoin reached its highest value since mid-March. The total volume of the cryptocurrency market increased by approximately 4.29 percent on a daily basis, reaching 2 trillion 520 billion dollars.

As of 15:00 CET, bitcoin is trading at $ 74,400 with a weekly gain of approximately 9 percent.

Claims that a return to the negotiation table between Washington and Tehran were decisive in this rise in the markets. According to reports in the US media, it is stated that President Donald Trump is willing to restart the talks that have come to a halt.

On the other hand, the rise in bitcoin also stimulated the altcoin market. The price of Ethereum, which ranks second in terms of market value, increased by approximately 9 percent to 3 thousand 375 dollars.
