In order to expand its gaming strategy for children, Netflix announced its new independent mobile application called Netflix Playground. The application, which is included in the Netflix subscription, aims to provide a safe gaming experience, especially for children under the age of 8, with its ad-free and in-app purchases-free structure. The application can be used on both iOS and Android devices.

According to the company’s statement, Netflix Playground offers an ever-growing library of games inspired by popular children’s content. The platform, which includes games based on brands such as Peppa Pig and Sesame Street, includes Playtime With Peppa Pig, Sesame Street themed memory and matching games, Let’s Color, StoryBots, Bad Dinosaurs and many other children’s games.

The application also stands out with its ability to be played offline without mobile data or Wi-Fi; Netflix states that this feature is ideal for long plane rides or shopping trips. Netflix Playground is currently available in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, Philippines and New Zealand and will be available globally starting April 28.
