US President Donald Trump has promised military help from many countries to jointly secure shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. But it is unclear which countries should take part in such a military action.

The naval commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Aziz Reza Tangsiri, mocked Trump on Platform

The Iranian commander further wrote: “Of course we should remember that the Strait of Hormuz has not yet been closed militarily and is only under control.” Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi wrote on X: “The US is now asking others, even China, to help secure the Strait of Hormuz.” Iran calls on “its brotherly neighbors to drive out foreign aggressors, especially since their only concern is Israel.”

Saudi Arabia intercepted 10 drones over the capital Riyadh and the country’s eastern regions, according to the Defense Ministry.

The US State Department orders the departure of non-essential government employees and their family members from Oman. The authority cites security risks as a result of the ongoing war between the USA and Israel against Iran.

The US attacks had “completely destroyed” most of the island of Kharg, US President Donald Trump told NBC News on Saturday (local time). “We might hit a few more times, just for fun,” he added. U.S. Central Command said it hit more than 90 locations on Charg, including sea mine storage facilities, missile bunkers and other military targets. There are also oil industry facilities on the island that apparently remained undamaged.

US President Donald Trump says he is currently not ready for an agreement to end the war with Iran. “Iran wants to conclude an agreement, and I don’t want to conclude it because the conditions are not yet good enough,” NBC News quoted him as saying. When asked by the broadcaster what the conditions for an agreement to end the war would have to be, Trump replied on the phone: “I don’t want to tell you that.”
