The Electronic Listing Verification System was put into operation by the Ministry in order to prevent consumer victimization and informality in the real estate sector.
The system, which has been implemented for rental real estate advertisements as of January 1, 2025, will enter its second phase on February 15 and will also be mandatory for real estate advertisements for sale.
Within the scope of the system, citizens who own real estate will select their own property via e-Government and authorize real estate businesses in the process of posting sales announcements. Thanks to this verification mechanism, it is envisaged to prevent sales advertisements opened by unauthorized persons, price manipulations carried out through fake accounts and unregistered intermediary activities, and the logo or phrase “authorization verification from EIDS” will be included in the advertisements published after verification.

On the e-Government authorization screen, it is also possible to cancel the authorization given to real estate businesses by the real estate owner. The duration of the authorization to be made by the real estate owner will be at least 3 months and this period can be extended from the same screen.
According to the schedule determined by the Ministry, the system, which was launched as a pilot in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir as of February 1, to ensure technical integration of the application, to take the necessary steps to solve the problems, to improve and develop customer experience processes, will be put into operation throughout the country as of February 15.
With the regulation coming into effect throughout the country, it will be ensured that all for-sale advertisements on the advertising platforms match the property information and a safe trading environment will be established.
“UNAUTHORIZED REAL ESTATE AGENTS WILL BE COMPLETELY ELIMINATED”
Hacı Ali Taylan, President of the Federation of All Real Estate Consultants of Türkiye (TEMFED), made an evaluation about the Electronic Listing Verification System application.
Stating that the system brings important regulations to the sector, Taylan said that they, as the federation, have completed the necessary preparations and training.
Stating that the application has been applied to rental advertisements before, therefore they will not have any difficulties in adapting to the system, Taylan said:
“We have conveyed our requests to the relevant authorities regarding some issues that we think are missing in the system, and we expect them to take the necessary steps. The system seriously regulates the sector, unauthorized real estate agents, which we call illegal ‘errands’, will be completely eliminated. There can be a lot of fake advertisements on advertising platforms, and the regulation prevents such frauds. Starting the application for houses for sale as well as rental houses will have positive effects for both the consumer and the sector.”
