Kadyrov almost escapes death on vacation

Chechen leader Kadyrov lost awareness on vacation in Turkey in a bathing accident. There have been rumors about a battered health for a long time.
Chechen head of state Ramsan Kadyrov, 48, apparently drowned during a vacation in Turkish Bodrum. According to Turkish media, he lost consciousness in the pool of a hotel complex and had to be recovered by emergency services.
Kadyrov has been at the top of Chechnya since 2007. He is considered a close ally of the Russian head of state Vladimir Putin. This grants him largely free hand in the region. After the Russian attack on Ukraine, Kadyrov, who is often referred to in the media as “Putin’s bloodhound”, sent his own troop association to the front.
Kadyrov’s father Achmat was Chechen President and died in an assassination attempt in 2004. Both had changed sides in the second War of Chechnya in 1999 and then became narrow familiar Putin.
Kadyrov has a total of 14 children. His daughter Aishat Kadyrowa was ceded as Chechen Vice-Prime Minister at the beginning of the year.
