EU’s population has exceeded 450 million

The total population of 27 members of the European Union (EU) reached 450.4 million as of 2025.

The European Statistics Office (Eurostat) published the population data of the European Union (EU) countries in January 1, 2025.

Accordingly, the total population of 27 countries, which was 449.3 million at the beginning of 2024, increased to 450.4 million in 2025.

Germany was the most populous member of the EU with a population of 83.6 million, while it was followed by France with 68.6 million Italy with 58.9 million, Spain with 49.1 million, Poland with 36.5 million, Romania with 19 million, 18 million with 18 million and Belgium with 11.9 million.

The EU’s population was Malta with at least 574 thousand countries and Luxembourg with 681 thousand.

Thus, the EU population increased for 4 years after the decrease in 2021 due to the effects of KOVİD-19.

The population growth of the EU stemmed from the increasing migration movements after the Kovid-19 epidemic.

In the period in question, the total population in Türkiye was determined as 85 million 664 thousand 994.
