Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş stated that a total of 935.4 million liras were paid to 4 thousand 35 young people this month within the scope of the Family and Youth Fund, which was established to support the family institution and contribute to the marriage processes of young couples.

In his written statement, Göktaş reminded that the Family and Youth Fund, which was established to strengthen the family institution and protect young people against social risks, was financed with the revenues obtained from Türkiye’s underground riches.

Emphasizing that they are investing in the future of young people with this resource, Göktaş said, “We aim to strengthen family unity with this project we carry out in 81 provinces. Our young people can make their applications through the ‘ailegenclikfonu.aile.gov.tr’ website or e-Government.” he said.

Minister Göktaş stated that they updated the loan amount in January so that more couples can benefit from the fund and said, “We provide 250 thousand lira support if both couples applying to the fund are between the ages of 18-25, and 200 thousand lira if they are between the ages of 26-29. We provide loan support to couples whose applications are approved, with a maturity of 48 months and a 2-year grace period.” shared his knowledge.

“WE PROVIDED 11 BILLION 669 MILLION LIRA CREDIT SUPPORT”

Reminding that they have increased the income requirement to benefit from the fund, Göktaş stated that in this context, they have increased the application requirement for the last 6 months’ income in income assessment from 2.3 times the minimum wage to 2.5 times.

Göktaş stated that young couples who have a child within 48 months postpone their repayments for 12 months for each child and said:

“To date, 9 thousand 310 children have been born to 9 thousand 190 couples among those who have benefited from the fund. This is the best result of our support. Applications to the Family and Youth Fund, which we launched in pilot provinces in 2024 and expanded throughout Turkey in 2025, reached 244 thousand 475. This month, we made payments of 935.4 million liras to 4 thousand 35 young people. Thus, they are on the path to marriage. “We have provided a total of 11 billion 669 million liras of credit support to 140 thousand 758 young people so far. On the other hand, we have supported 175 thousand 948 young people so far with education and consultancy services in addition to financial support.”
