As the 2026 increased salaries were deposited into the accounts, banks accelerated their promotion race. Retirees who earn a salary of 20 thousand TL or more are offered opportunities up to 90 thousand TL in total, including cash payments, additional campaigns and card advantages.

As of February 2026, promotional payments, especially in private banks, increase up to 31 thousand TL, while the total advantage amount can go up to 90 thousand TL with additional campaigns and fringe benefits.

BANKS INCREASED THE PROMOTION RACE

In February, three banks announced their new offers for retirees. While VakıfBank and Türkiye Finans offered earning opportunities over 30 thousand TL with promotional payments and additional advantages, Ziraat Bank increased the total advantage amount up to 90 thousand TL. Announcing its new campaign, Ziraat Bank announced that in addition to the cash promotion, retirees can be provided with a total advantage of up to 90 thousand TL with interest-free installment advances, Bankkart Lira earnings and special interest-free loan options.

HOW MUCH PROMOTION DO THOSE WHO RECEIVE WIDOW AND ORPHAN PAYMENT RECEIVE?

For those receiving widow and orphan pensions, public banks and some private banks generally base their promotion calculation on the share ratio. For example, if a beneficiary who receives a 25 percent orphan’s pension based on a pension of 15,000 TL receives a payment of 3,750 TL, the promotion is often offered at this amount, that is, one-fourth of the payment given to the retiree.

However, some private banks that want to gain customers can apply base promotions without taking this rate into consideration.

While a beneficiary receiving a 25 percent orphan’s pension receives offers in the range of 3,000-4,000 TL in some banks, this amount can rise to 8,000-10,000 TL in banks with campaigns.

While the standard offer for those receiving a 50 percent widow’s pension remains in the range of 5,000-6,000 TL, it can go up to 10,000-12,000 TL in some private banks.

For beneficiaries who receive a 75 percent widow’s pension, offers range from 7,500 to 8,000 TL, but can reach 12,000 to 15,000 TL in campaign applications.
