In 4 thousand 397 different operations carried out by the Customs Enforcement teams in the first 8 months of 2026, commercial goods and drugs worth 81 billion 970 million TL were seized, an increase of 78 percent compared to the previous period. Customs As a result of the work carried out by our enforcement teams with their advanced risk analysis systems, technological control infrastructure and expert personnel, important results have been achieved in terms of protecting the economic security of our country, preventing unfair competition, preserving public health and fighting against criminal organizations. As a result of the successful operations carried out in the first 8 months of 2026; “It has captured a wide range of contraband goods, from tobacco products to historical artifacts, from fuel to textile materials, including 1,000 machine parts and 5 million 107 thousand medical supplies.”
‘10.5 BILLION TL CAPTURE WAS MADE IN AUGUST’
Regarding the studies carried out in August, “As a result of the successful operations carried out by the Customs Enforcement units in August 2026, 10 billion 532 million TL worth of commercial goods and drugs were seized in 497 different cases, an increase of 144 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
