Çukurova Municipality has started to pay workers’ retroactive receivables. By the instructions of Mayor Emrah Kozay, the payment of 75 thousand TL per person, as an offset to the workers’ past receivables, was deposited into the bank accounts of the employees today. While the payment made covers a significant part of the workers’ receivables, it was reported that the remaining receivables will be paid within the determined schedule in line with the prepared payment plan.
Çukurova Mayor Emrah Kozay stated that protecting the value of employees’ labor is their priority and said, “Since the day we took office, we have been working determinedly to strengthen the financial structure of our municipality, reduce the burdens from the past in a planned manner and secure the rights of our employees. The payment of 75 thousand lira per person we made today is an important indicator of this understanding. The sweat and labor of our employees are more valuable to us than anything else. We will ensure that the remaining receivables are paid in the shortest time period in line with the calendar we have prepared. Financial “We will continue to provide the best service to our citizens and fully fulfill the rights of our employees without compromising discipline,” he said.
While Çukurova Municipality continues its efforts to pay all the retroactive receivables of its employees in line with the planned schedule, it announced to the public that it will continue to produce services and protect the rights of its employees with the understanding of financial discipline.
