Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, within the scope of the support of the Rural Development Investments (KKYDP), said that the evaluation process has been completed for 2025, “A total of 7 thousand 160 projects, 10.2 billion pounds grant support. Thus, we provide an investment of 20.5 billion pounds.” He said.
Yumaklı said in a statement that they continue their rural development investments with determination.
Within the scope of support for rural development investments, investments for processing, packaging and storage of agricultural products and fixed investments for agricultural production, 50 percent of the project amount of up to 20 million pounds of grant, which reminds us that they support the amount of up to 10 million lira.
“New working areas and employment opportunities have been created in the countryside”
Yumaklı stated that the project issues were gathered under two headings: “Economic Investments” and “Infrastructure Investments”, and said that new working areas and employment opportunities have been created in rural areas by gaining high value added investments to the national economy with these supports. Emphasizing that the evaluation process was completed for 2025 within the scope of the support of Rural Development Investments Program, Yumaklı made the following evaluations:
“Investments for processing, packaging and storage of agricultural products and 4 thousand 46 projects accepted within the scope of fixed investments for agricultural production will be provided. Approximately 9 billion pounds grants will be provided.
“Projects will create employment of 18 thousand people”
Yumaklı, 3 thousand 114 projects have been accepted within the scope of individual irrigation systems, and approximately 1.2 billion pounds for them, underlining that modern individual irrigation systems will be established in the area of 83 thousand decares, so that both the efficiency will increase and water savings will be achieved, and 6 thousand pounds will be employed with an investment of approximately 2.5 billion TL.
Yumaklı emphasized that they make a significant contribution to the national economy by providing grants to all these investments and continued:
“We support our land, production and future with our support for rural development investments and individual irrigation supports. In this context, we will provide a total of 10.2 billion pounds grant support to 7 thousand 160 projects in both categories for 2025. Thus, we will provide an investment of 10.2 billion pounds. The receivables will continue to grow in our country. “
