The following statements were included in the statement:
“In this period when protectionism and uncertainties in global trade increase, our country has an important potential in terms of evaluating the opportunities that emerge through its geostrategic location and strong production capacity.
Thanks to the gains of the economic program we have implemented for about two years, our macroeconomic foundations have strengthened and the durability and dynamism of our economy increased.
Significant progress has been made in the fight against inflation, our main priority. The disinflation process, which started in June 2024, continued uninterruptedly, and the annual inflation decreased by 40 points in the last year and decreased to 35.4 percent in May 2025.
In the fight against inflation, demand -posted policies are implemented as well as supply -oriented policies are taken in areas such as housing, food and energy. Rent inflation, which gradually decreases with the improvement in the balance of demand and inflation expectations, is still not at the desired level. In this context, comprehensive policies are implemented in order to increase housing supply, to compensate for earthquake -induced losses in housing stock and to facilitate access to housing. In the coming period, it is expected that the slowdown in the inflation of the hatred by balancing housing supply and demand and the continuation of the disinflation process will continue.
Global risks and geopolitical developments further increase the strategic importance of supply security in energy. In this respect, we continue our efforts to accelerate the green transformation process by increasing energy supply security and efficiency, strengthening domestic and renewable energy production capacity.
The main issues discussed at the ECK meeting held today are as follows:
• In order to reduce the effects of increasing uncertainties and protectionism in global trade on our economy, and to evaluate the opportunities of digita and green transformation, restructuring in supply chains and regional trade tendencies, policies and measures suggestions were discussed in exports.
• The general situation is evaluated in the energy that has significant share in the current account deficit; Policies that will reduce dependence on foreign and increase supply security have been discussed.
• Developments in rent and housing prices and the steps to be taken to increase the housing supply and the policies to be followed were evaluated.
• The current situation of private employment offices that provide job seekers to appropriate jobs and establish temporary business relations has been reviewed.
As a result of the analyzes, solutions for the problems identified were discussed.
With the new investment incentive system we have recently implemented in line with the targets of Türkiye, our selective, focused and effective support for added value added and regional development continues to increase. We take all the necessary steps in coordination to strengthen our position in global supply chains. “
